Systems Administrator – Cloud & Database

About the role

The System & Database Administrator will manage and optimise the client’s infrastructure, cloud platforms, identity services and database environments, ensuring security, availability and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Administer Microsoft 365, Azure, hybrid infrastructure and Windows Server services.
• Maintain Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Intune and endpoint management.
• Monitor system health, capacity and support backup, disaster recovery and documentation.
• Administer Microsoft SQL Server – backups, performance tuning, security and migrations.
• Support Microsoft Fabric, data extraction, integration and governance.
• Manage identity, privileged access, MFA, conditional access and security hardening.
• Act as escalation point for incidents, conduct root‑cause analysis and drive continual improvement.

Required profile

• Degree, diploma or equivalent IT experience.
• Minimum 5 years in systems and infrastructure administration (70%) and database administration (20%).
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server, Active Directory and SQL Server.
• Understanding of cloud, cybersecurity, ITIL/ITSM processes and strong documentation skills.
• Valid driver’s licence and right to work in Australia.

What we offer

• Salary $108,000–$122,000 base plus superannuation.
• Non‑profit tax benefits and 15% superannuation contribution.
• Permanent full‑time role with hybrid work (3 days onsite, 2 days WFH).
