Swim Instructor - Innisfail

About the role

PCYC Innisfail is seeking a responsible and energetic Swim School Instructor to deliver fun, high-quality swimming classes at its pool. The role provides a safe, fun and educational environment in which students progressively learn to swim, in a supportive and welcoming atmosphere.

Required profile

• Current Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety certificate, or willingness to obtain one
• Current First Aid and CPR certificate, or willingness to obtain one
• Experience in a similar role is highly desirable
• Willingness to hold or obtain a Teacher of Infant and Preschool Aquatics certificate if required
• Working With Children Check (Blue Card) is required; a National Police Check is completed on commencement

Required skills

• Ability to deliver effective swimming lessons for a variety of age groups and skill levels
• Strong knowledge of water safety protocols
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders
