Sustainability Manager

About the role

KBR is seeking a senior sustainability professional to join its National Sustainability team in Melbourne. You will lead sustainability input across major infrastructure projects and global Net Zero initiatives, embedding environmental considerations from design through construction.

Key responsibilities

• Lead sustainability strategies and provide technical advice on large‑scale water, rail, road and defence projects.
• Drive adoption of sustainability initiatives during design and construction phases.
• Collaborate with multi‑disciplinary teams to deliver positive environmental and community outcomes.
• Manage project planning, cost estimates, tender submissions, technical documentation and client reporting.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, authorities and internal stakeholders.
• Conduct carbon baselining, lifecycle cost analysis, carbon assessment and innovative material selection.

Required profile

• Seasoned sustainability professional with a proven track record in infrastructure projects.
• Strong stakeholder management and business development experience.
• Ability to influence stakeholders, deliver results and thrive in a collaborative environment.

Required skills

• Familiarity with Green Star or ISCA rating tools.
• Carbon baselining and carbon assessment expertise.
• Lifecycle cost analysis and innovative material selection.
