Support Worker

About the role

SCILS is looking for a compassionate and reliable Support Worker to join its growing team on the Sunshine Coast. The role supports people to live independently, build confidence and take part fully in their community, working one-on-one with participants in their homes and in the community.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support tailored to each person's goals and needs
• Assist with personal care, domestic tasks and daily routines
• Support community access and social participation
• Encourage independence and skill development
• Follow individual support plans and organisational policies
• Maintain clear and accurate documentation

Required profile

• Certificate III in Individual Support (or working towards)
• NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain it)
• Blue Card (or willingness to obtain it)
• First Aid and CPR
• Current driver's licence and reliable vehicle
• Smartphone for rostering and communication
• Reliability and flexibility, including some weekends or evenings

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
