Supply & Demand Planner

About the role

An established FMCG business with a strong presence in the Australian market is looking for a Supply & Demand Planner through its recruiter, Blackbook Executive. Reporting to the Site Manager, the role manages inventory, coordinates supply and materials planning and ensures stock is available to meet operational and customer needs. It works closely with internal teams and suppliers to maintain stock accuracy, support production and improve supply chain efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Manage inventory levels, stock accuracy, cycle counts and regular stocktakes
• Review MRP requirements and coordinate supply to meet customer demand
• Plan and purchase raw materials, packaging and production components
• Raise and track purchase orders and follow up with suppliers on delivery timelines
• Coordinate interstate freight movements and support on-time delivery
• Analyse inventory and freight costs and identify process improvements
• Maintain accurate ERP data, reporting and supply chain documentation

Required profile

• Previous experience in supply planning, materials planning, inventory control or a similar supply chain role
• Experience in FMCG, food manufacturing or a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Strong attention to detail, organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
• Confident communication and collaboration across multiple teams
• Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement

Required skills

• Strong understanding of ERP/MRP systems; SAP experience highly regarded
• Advanced Excel skills and ability to analyse inventory and planning data
