Supply Chain Director

About the role

A leading manufacturing business in Melbourne is seeking an experienced, commercially‑focused Supply Chain Director to lead and optimise end‑to‑end supply chain operations in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute supply chain strategies that support business growth, operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Lead the S&OP process, balance demand with operational capability and produce accurate demand forecasts.
• Manage budgets, drive cost‑reduction initiatives and optimise processes across logistics, warehousing and distribution.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks to ensure business continuity and resilient operations.
• Collaborate with production, procurement and commercial teams to achieve optimal inventory and service outcomes.

Required profile

• 10+ years of senior supply chain leadership experience in manufacturing, food production or similar high‑volume environments.
• Proven track record of building high‑performing teams and delivering operational excellence.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance service, inventory and cost objectives.

Required skills

• Expertise in S&OP, inventory management, logistics and warehousing.
• Experience with demand forecasting using historical trends, market intelligence and business insights.
