Supplier Quality Assurance Associate Scientist – 12‑Month Fixed‑Term

About the role
Join PepsiCo Australia & New Zealand as a Supplier Quality Assurance Associate Scientist, responsible for managing supplier quality across APAC manufacturing sites, with a focus on foods and beverages in ANZ. You will approve new suppliers, conduct re‑approvals, and drive performance management to ensure compliance with global standards.
Key responsibilities
- Approve new suppliers for Innovation, Business Continuity Planning, Productivity, PEP+ and strategic initiatives, including documentation review and onsite audits.
- Approve legacy suppliers resulting from ANZ M&A activities.
- Conduct re‑approvals of existing suppliers to verify compliance with Global Standards.
- Support supplier performance management when quality or food‑safety issues arise, including troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis and CAPA verification.
- Enhance SQA processes through routine documentation reviews, procedural updates and implementation of digital systems.
Required profile
- B.Sc. in Food Science or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a Quality or Food‑Safety role within the food industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of quality and food‑safety principles, analytical abilities, and project‑management experience.
- Auditing experience; FSSC22000 Lead Auditor certification preferred.
- Excellent problem‑solving, reporting and presentation skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and supplier data‑management applications.
- Self‑motivated, independent, with strong attention to detail.
