Civil Earthworks Supervisor

About the role

The Civil Earthworks Supervisor will lead direct‑hire and contractor activities on the Eva Copper Process Plant in Cloncurry, Queensland. This FIFO position operates on a 2:1 roster and requires ensuring that all civil construction work meets project specifications, safety, quality and schedule requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and enforce compliance of direct‑hire and subcontractor work against drawings, specifications, standards and ES&H plans.
• Coordinate installation contractors, track project status, schedule, cost control and change management.
• Review and approve subcontractor submittals, technical queries, field change documents and as‑built drawings.
• Maintain effective relationships with engineers, clients and other stakeholders, and manage interfaces with other work groups.

Required profile

• Recognised engineering degree or minimum 10 years of civil and concrete works experience on industrial plants.
• At least 10 years in construction projects in a contractor or PMC role.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently and provide technical leadership.

Required skills

• Large‑scale bulk excavation and material movement.
• Reinforced concrete construction pours and major equipment foundations.
• Knowledge of relevant standards, specifications, codes and safety procedures.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder management.
