Structural Foreman

About the role

The Structural Foreman will lead the planning, coordination and supervision of all structural works on a major high‑rise student accommodation project in Darwin. This on‑site role ensures that concrete, formwork, reinforcement, post‑tensioning and structural steel activities are delivered safely, on time and to quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and supervise structural construction activities, including concrete pours, formwork, reinforcement, post‑tensioning and structural steel.
• Drive floor cycles, key milestones and critical path activities to meet programme requirements.
• Work closely with the Site Manager and Project Engineers to develop short‑term and look‑ahead programmes.
• Monitor progress, identify delays or risks and implement corrective actions.
• Sequence structural works to enable efficient handover to subsequent trades.
• Manage subcontractors, labour, plant, equipment, materials and tower‑crane operations.
• Conduct pre‑pour inspections and ensure compliance with safety, quality and HSEQ standards.

Required profile

• Trade qualification in Carpentry, Concreting, Civil Construction or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Foreman, Structural Foreman, Site Supervisor or similar on commercial or high‑rise projects.
• Proven experience delivering structural packages on multi‑storey developments.
• Strong understanding of structural construction methodologies (formwork, reinforcement, concrete, post‑tensioning, structural steel).
• Ability to read and interpret structural drawings, engineering details and construction programmes.
• Knowledge of construction safety legislation, quality systems and HSEQ requirements.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
