Structural Engineer – Buildings and Structures

About the role

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate structural design and documentation for local and national projects.
• Develop structural components using software such as Space Gass, ETABS, Microstran and Strand7.
• Review designs to ensure compliance with technical standards, client requirements and Robert Bird Group guidelines.
• Prepare engineering reports and support tender proposals.
• Collaborate proactively with engineers, drafters, project managers and external stakeholders.
• Contribute to the technical success of projects and maintain quality and timeliness of deliverables.
• Engage in client liaison alongside Project Directors and Associates.

Required profile

• Engineering qualification with a focus on Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years experience in an engineering design consultancy.
• Strong knowledge of steel and concrete design.
• Proven experience with structural design software.
• Project management experience covering administrative, commercial and technical aspects.
• Deep understanding of Australian codes and standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Full working rights in Australia.
