Store Audit and Risk Advisor

About the role

The Store Audit & Risk Advisor will lead risk‑based audits across Bapcor’s extensive store and branch network in Australia and New Zealand. You will assess operational, financial and compliance risks, uncover root causes of control gaps and support investigations into fraud or theft.

Key responsibilities

• Lead risk‑based audits across the store and branch network, reviewing inventory management, cash handling, safety compliance and internal policies.
• Identify emerging operational, financial and compliance risks and recommend practical improvements.
• Use transactional and operational data, analytics and AI‑enabled insights to spot trends, anomalies and loss‑prevention opportunities.
• Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings to senior stakeholders.
• Support investigations into suspected fraud, theft or irregular activity in partnership with Internal Audit, Risk, People & Culture and Legal teams.

Required profile

• A degree in Commerce, Accounting or a related discipline.
• 3+ years’ experience in internal audit, risk, assurance or related advisory roles.
• Strong analytical ability, commercial awareness and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Willingness to travel regularly across Australia and New Zealand.
