Stocktake Assistant – Casual role in Newcastle & Lake Macquarie

About the role

Join a motivated team that conducts stock counts across Woolworths, Woolworths Metro, Big W, Dan Murphy’s and BWS sites in the Hunter Region. The role is casual, starts at 6:00 am, and involves travelling to various stores in Newcastle, Lake Macquarie and surrounding areas.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately count all items in each store according to company guidelines.
• Enter counted data into a handheld scanning device.
• Remain on‑site until the inventory count is completed (typically 1:30 pm–3:00 pm).
• Work cooperatively within a team environment.
• Follow Occupational Health & Safety and Food Safety policies.

Required profile

• Early‑bird availability (6:00 am start) and willingness to work Monday‑Thursday, occasional Fridays.
• Ability to travel across the Hunter, Mid North Coast and Central Coast regions, including up to six nights away per month.
• Current driver’s licence and access to a personal vehicle.
• Competent written and verbal communication with sound mathematical ability.
