Staff Specialist in Vascular Surgery

John Hunter Hospital invites applications for a Staff Specialist in Vascular Surgery, a permanent part-time position of 0.8 FTE. The role sits within a Level 6 tertiary referral, major trauma and teaching hospital and a collaborative specialist team delivering vascular surgical care, education, research and service development. It covers specialist vascular surgery for patients across the Hunter New England Local Health District.

Required profile

• Specialist registration in Vascular Surgery with AHPRA and Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.
• Recent, comprehensive experience in vascular surgical services in a tertiary or comparable hospital.
• Commitment to high-quality patient care, clinical excellence and clinical governance.
• Willingness to take on-call and after-hours duties as required by the department.
• Commitment to teaching, supervision and support of medical staff and multidisciplinary teams.
