Speech Pathologist (NDIS Allied Health)

About the role

Ability Action Australia, a national NDIS provider delivering allied health services in over 300 locations across Australia, is seeking Speech Pathologists to deliver therapeutic services to participants in schools, homes, clinics, telehealth and community settings. You will manage an allocated caseload close to your home suburb in Queensland, keeping clinical excellence and NDIS compliance. The home office hub for training is in Yeerongpilly.

Key responsibilities

• Manage an allocated caseload, delivering therapeutic services in line with timelines and clinical protocols
• Conduct clinical observations and standardised assessments, analyse findings and develop evidence-based treatment goals for each participant
• Implement interventions based on current best practice and monitor progress against goals
• Maintain detailed clinical documentation, progress notes and participant records in line with regulatory standards
• Ensure service delivery meets NDIS requirements and organisational policies, adjusting interventions to optimise outcomes
• Educate families and caregivers with strategies to support therapeutic goals in everyday settings
• Advocate for participants' needs and rights and collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues

Required profile

• Current certified practising membership with Speech Pathology Australia
• Speech Pathologist experience beyond graduation
• Excellent time management and organisational skills to manage a varied caseload
• Proactive attitude, genuine passion for the disability sector and desire for a collaborative, supportive workplace
