Speech Pathologist - Leadership Opportunity in Darwin

About the role

A Queensland-based allied health provider has expanded into the Northern Territory and is looking for an experienced Speech Pathologist to help build its Speech Pathology service in Darwin. The role starts 100% client-facing, with the client-facing load reducing as you grow and support the local team. It suits someone ready to step into leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Provide speech pathology services across the lifespan, with a caseload tailored to your scope and interests
• Support clients funded through NDIS, Aged Care, Medicare and private streams
• Help grow the Speech Pathology team in Darwin, including supervising new clinicians as they are onboarded
• Work alongside five Occupational Therapists, with clinical support from the National Clinical Lead Speech Pathologist

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of post-graduate experience
• Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology
• Membership of the Speech Pathology Association of Australia (SPA)
• Unrestricted working rights in Australia
• Driver's licence and own vehicle

• Salary of $100,000 to $120,000 plus superannuation
• Up to $7,000 relocation support
• Flexible start and finish times, with the option to work a 9-day fortnight or a condensed week; work from home for admin
• Clinic base with central space, optional admin and client appointments
• Fortnightly clinical supervision and ongoing support from the Sunshine Coast team
• Structured onboarding with gradual caseload increase and work shadowing
• $1,000 professional development allowance and 3 days of PD leave
• Travel reimbursement of 99 cents per kilometre, paid each pay
• Bonus of 15% of charge-out rate plus $30 per extra hour when exceeding targets
• Provided iPad or work laptop and paid lunch once a week with the team
