Speech Pathologist - Community-Based Support

About the role

Ability Action Australia, one of the largest NDIS providers in Australia, is looking for a Speech Pathologist to support participants across the Canberra region, depending on where you are based. The caseload is tailored to your experience, interests and professional goals.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a varied, community-based caseload across homes, schools and outreach settings.
• Work with individuals across the lifespan, including early intervention, paediatrics, adolescents and adults.
• Support needs such as feeding, early language, dysphagia, communication difficulties and AAC.
• Conduct observations and standardised assessments to develop participant-centred goals.
• Deliver evidence-based therapy that builds communication, participation and independence.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to support participant outcomes.

Required profile

• Current Speech Pathology Australia membership.
• Passion for community-based support for people with disability.
• Thrives in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment.
