Occupational Therapist – NDIS Support

About the role

Ability Action Australia, one of the largest NDIS providers in Australia, is growing its team and is looking for an Occupational Therapist based in the Canberra region. The role supports over 10,000 participants each year, helping them improve their independence, access, development, health and wellbeing. Depending on your location, you will have the chance to work close to home.

Key responsibilities

• Manage an allocated caseload (based on your negotiated hours) and deliver timely therapeutic services
• Assess participants' developmental, cognitive, emotional, psychological and physical function and capacity through clinical observation and standardised assessments
• Interpret findings to set individual treatment goals
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions to help participants meet their goals
• Maintain awareness of current legislation to ensure compliance

Required profile

• Current membership with AHPRAP
• Passion for community-based support for people with disability
• Thrives in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment
• Time management and organisational skills to manage a varied caseload
