Speech Pathologist - Cairns

About the role

A company offering meaningful work in a rural and regional setting is looking for Speech Pathologists to deliver bespoke speech pathology services to clients in Cairns and FIFO to rural and remote communities. The role sits within a team of Allied Health Assistants and Occupational Therapists in the outreach communities, and supports First Nations people on their health journey. It is permanent and full-time, with part-time arrangements also possible.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, develop, deliver, collaborate on and monitor bespoke speech pathology programs for life-cycle clients.
• Focus areas include autism spectrum disorders, receptive and expressive language, learning and language, articulation and stuttering, phonological difficulties, and short or long term treatment options.
• Deliver services face to face in the Cairns office, via FIFO to rural and remote communities for 3-4 days at a time, or through virtual platforms.
• Work as part of a team with Allied Health Assistants and Occupational Therapists in the outreach communities.

Required profile

• Speech Pathologists with SPA accreditation.
• Experienced clinicians or graduates; the base pay differs by level.
• Qualified candidates from overseas who are based in Australia may be eligible for sponsorship.

What we offer

• Base salary of $110,000 for experienced clinicians and $90,000 for graduates, plus superannuation.
