About the role

The Specialist Medical Practitioner will join the Alcohol and Drug Service North in Launceston, delivering both inpatient and outpatient care for individuals facing alcohol and drug challenges. Working within a supportive framework, the role contributes to a statewide network focused on innovative, person‑centred recovery.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and engage key stakeholders to maintain the effectiveness and quality of the public and private sector Pharmacotherapy Program.
• Exercise independent clinical judgement in the delivery of care and fulfil core clinical responsibilities.
• Uphold professionalism, integrity and ethical practice in all aspects of work.
