Solution Architect – Government ICT

About the role

The government client is looking for an experienced Solution Architect to lead the review, design and governance of application portfolios across on‑premise and cloud environments.

Key responsibilities

• Review and develop application governance artefacts, including strategies, architecture, roadmaps, policies and practices.
• Assess existing application deployments for documentation, sustainability and alignment with agency standards.
• Document issues, risks and opportunities and provide actionable recommendations.
• Collaborate with IT, business units and development teams to scope, cost, plan and deliver new application services.
• Ensure technical strategies, standards and security policies are applied consistently.
• Evaluate change requests and advise governance bodies on appropriate actions.

Required profile

• 5+ years experience as a Solution (Application) Architect.
• Proven ability to design cloud‑based applications and document solutions that meet business needs and strategic constraints.
• Strong communication skills to translate technical concepts into plain English for stakeholders.
• Experience working in Agile environments and building effective relationships between technical and business teams.
• Active AGSVA Baseline Security clearance and eligibility for Negative Vetting 1 clearance.
