About the role

Join a passionate team delivering free legal assistance to women and gender‑diverse people across the Big Rivers region. As a solicitor you will provide high‑quality legal advice, represent clients in court and travel to remote communities while building a broad, rewarding legal career.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality legal advice, casework and court representation for women and gender‑diverse clients.
• Manage an individual caseload with supervision and mentoring.
• Collaborate with an integrated team of lawyers, support workers and community partners to deliver holistic services.
• Travel throughout the Big Rivers region to conduct outreach and community legal education sessions.
• Contribute to policy development, advocacy and law‑reform initiatives.

Required profile

• Admission as a solicitor in Australia with 1–4 years post‑admission experience.
• Commitment to trauma‑informed, culturally responsive legal practice.
• Willingness to work in remote and regional settings and travel regularly.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
