Software Engineer, Platforms & Cloud

About the role

Dentsu's data and technology team builds and maintains solutions that support marketing, media buying, creative and customer experience teams. As Software Engineer, you will join the Cloud and Platforms Engineering team on a new programme to build a portfolio of AI-driven marketing products. You will take delivery ownership of a defined piece of work from design through to production and ongoing operation, including tests, monitoring and documentation. The role is permanent, full-time and hybrid, based in Melbourne or Sydney.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain cloud-native applications and services that support data, analytics and AI solutions.
• Develop and deploy scalable software using modern engineering practices, pipelines and cloud platforms.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers and Data Scientists to make solutions reliable, observable and production-ready.
• Contribute to architecture discussions and help solve complex technical challenges across platforms, integrations and cloud environments.
• Support ongoing optimisation, monitoring and performance of software products from development through to deployment.

Required profile

• Experience building end-to-end software products, not just supporting or maintaining existing systems.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and exposure to cloud infrastructure, software systems, automation or platform engineering practices.
• Curiosity and adaptability, with a willingness to work across software engineering, cloud services, data and emerging AI technologies.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical decisions to multidisciplinary teams.
