Software Engineer III, .NET Developer (AWS, Microservices, React)

About the role

As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within Commercial & Investment Bank Technology, you will build and sustain distributed microservices on AWS and PostgreSQL‑backed platforms supporting mission‑critical services. You will collaborate cross‑functionally with peers, product owners, and architects to ensure technical contributions meet compliance standards and strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise‑grade applications using C# and the modern .NET ecosystem (.NET 6/7/8+), delivering scalable, high‑availability solutions.
• Implement RESTful APIs, event‑driven microservices, and distributed systems, applying clean code principles and architectural patterns.
• Work across the full software development lifecycle from requirements analysis to production deployment and operational stability.
• Optimize PostgreSQL schemas, queries, and indexing for high‑volume workloads, and collaborate with teams using other relational databases and ORM frameworks.
• Leverage AI‑assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot to improve code quality, generate tests, and automate documentation, while validating outputs through peer review and testing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
• 5+ years of enterprise software development experience.
• Hands‑on experience with AI‑assisted development tools and a solid understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows.
