Software Engineer II – Surgical Automation & Visualization

About the role

Enovis is seeking a Software Engineer II to join the Enabling Technologies team, focusing on surgical automation and visualization for orthopedic procedures. The role involves designing and developing high‑performance software that integrates with optical navigation systems and augmented reality tools to improve surgeon workflows and patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain C# and Unity applications for orthopedic surgical navigation and visualization systems.
• Collaborate with hardware engineering, clinical research, product management, and quality teams to define and deliver software requirements.
• Integrate and optimise optical navigation technologies for real‑time tracking and visualization.
• Support development of augmented reality and immersive visualization tools for surgical planning and execution.
• Interface with hardware components such as cameras and tracking systems to enable system functionality.
• Participate in verification and validation activities to ensure compliance with medical device standards.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software issues to maintain reliability and performance.
• Document architecture, design specifications, and testing procedures in line with regulatory requirements.
