Software Engineer II – Surgical Automation

About the role

Enovis is seeking a talented Software Engineer II to join its Enabling Technologies team, focusing on surgical automation and visualization for orthopedic procedures. You will develop high‑performance, real‑time software that integrates with optical navigation systems and surgical hardware to improve surgeon workflows and patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain C# and Unity applications for orthopedic surgical navigation and visualization.
• Collaborate with hardware engineering, clinical research, product management, and quality teams to define software requirements.
• Integrate and optimise optical navigation technologies for real‑time tracking and visualization.
• Support the development of augmented reality and immersive visualization tools for surgical planning and execution.
• Interface with cameras, tracking systems, and other hardware components to enable full system functionality.
• Participate in verification and validation activities to ensure compliance with medical‑device standards.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software issues to maintain reliability and performance.
• Document software architecture, design specifications, and testing procedures in line with regulatory requirements.
