Software Engineer II – Organic Growth

About the role

Microsoft’s Organic Growth team is looking for a Software Engineer II to help expand the user base of flagship Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Clipchamp. You will work on a Next.js web platform, integrate with the Contentful CMS, and gain hands‑on DevOps experience supporting a high‑traffic Azure‑based service.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business and technical requirements for new features.
• Break down large work items, estimate effort, and contribute to design documents.
• Develop and maintain Next.js pages, Contentful integrations, and Azure Functions.
• Apply DevOps practices to manage infrastructure, security, and deployments.
• Participate in an on‑call rotation to monitor system health and address incidents.
• Stay current with emerging technologies such as TypeScript, Infrastructure as Code, and AI tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as C#, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript or Python.
