Software Engineer – AI‑augmented Full‑Stack Development

About the role

Mutinex is looking for a Software Engineer who will help build and scale its core platforms – DataOS and GrowthOS/MAITE. The position is full‑stack and hybrid across Sydney, Melbourne and New York, and focuses on leveraging AI agents as the primary development tool.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, design and ship end‑to‑end features, from data models to user interfaces, using AI‑driven workflows.
• Break complex problems into stages, craft effective prompts, and manage context across AI sessions.
• Direct AI agents to generate code, tests, and documentation, then critically review and refine the output.
• Ensure AI‑generated artifacts are free of hallucinations, security flaws, and logical errors.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to prioritize high‑impact work across backend services and frontend consumers.

Required profile

• Strong experience in full‑stack development and a passion for AI‑augmented tooling.
• Ability to decompose problems, make architectural trade‑offs, and judge AI output quality.
• Excellent communication, open‑mindedness, and a feedback‑driven mindset.
• Comfortable working in a hybrid environment across multiple time zones.
