Software Developer – Build Impactful Business Applications

About the role

We are seeking a Software Developer to join Nationwide Group’s Technology team. In this role you will design, build and enhance internal business applications that directly improve the experience of employees, customers and suppliers. You will work closely with stakeholders to translate ideas into practical, high‑impact technology solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and enhance internal business applications using C# and .NET technologies.
• Build APIs and integrate systems across the organisation.
• Create automated reporting solutions and maintain SQL databases.
• Resolve bugs, optimise performance and ensure reliability of applications.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions that streamline processes.

Required profile

• Strong problem‑solving mindset and passion for continuous improvement.
• Experience working in an agile, collaborative environment.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.

Required skills

• C# and .NET (including Blazor)
• SQL database development and Entity Framework Core
• HTML, JavaScript and responsive web design
• Python or similar scripting language
• Git version control
• Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines
