Social Media Manager

About the role

Minor Hotels is seeking an experienced and creative Social Media Manager to lead the social strategy for its iconic Oaks Hotels, Resorts & Suites and Avani Hotels brands across Australasia. Reporting to the Director of PR & Communications, you will shape brand presence on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and emerging platforms, driving audience growth, engagement and commercial outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the social media strategy across the Minor Hotels Australasian portfolio.
• Develop content calendars aligned to campaigns, business priorities and audience insights.
• Capture and produce social‑first photography and video content across hotel properties.
• Shoot and edit Reels, TikToks and short‑form video content.
• Manage daily publishing and community engagement on key channels.
• Identify new trends, creators and platform opportunities to keep brands culturally relevant.
• Analyse performance data and provide insights for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, agency partners and hotel teams across Australia and New Zealand.

Required profile

• Experience working with big brands in a corporate marketing team or social‑led creative agency.
• Proven track record of translating brand voice into engaging social‑first content.
• Ability to develop strategy while also creating, shooting and editing content.
• Deep understanding of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and emerging platforms.
• Highly organised, creative and comfortable managing multiple brands simultaneously.
• Passion for travel and willingness to visit hotels across Australasia to capture content.
