Social Community & Communications Executive

About the role

We are looking for a Social Community & Communications Executive to own and grow GYG’s social channels. You will act as the digital front‑of‑house, engaging with fans, creators and guests across Instagram, TikTok and Facebook, ensuring every interaction feels genuine and on‑brand.

Key responsibilities

• Moderate and manage community interactions daily on Instagram, TikTok and Facebook.
• Proactively engage with guests, creators and brand advocates – like, respond, reshare and celebrate user content.
• Monitor social trends and participate in relevant conversations in line with the broader social strategy.
• Serve as first point of contact for guest feedback on social, triaging and escalating issues to Guest Experience or Communications teams.
• Use social listening tools to track brand sentiment, flag spikes and surface recurring themes for reporting.
• Support influencer outreach, gifting, product seeding and media‑related logistics.
• Assist in planning and executing media moments and brand activations, including guest lists and supplier liaison.
• Compile and maintain reports on coverage, community performance and sentiment.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years experience in social media, community management or communications, preferably within a consumer, hospitality or retail brand.
• Tertiary qualification in Communications, Marketing, PR, Media or a related field.
• Deep understanding of how communities operate on Instagram, TikTok and Facebook.
• Warm, witty and adaptable voice with the ability to turn complaints into positive experiences.
• Calm under pressure and able to manage high volumes of interactions without losing quality.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Instagram, TikTok and Facebook platforms.
• Experience using social listening or community management tools such as Sprout Social, Hootsuite or Brandwatch.
