Skilled Construction Worker (Civil Operator)

About the role

WorkPac is recruiting experienced civil operators for a client based at Wagga RAAF Base in regional NSW. The work supports civil construction, earthworks and site development within a Defence environment, operating machinery and plant as part of a coordinated crew. The position is casual, starts immediately and pays $40-$41 per hour, plus penalties.

Key responsibilities

• Support civil construction, earthworks and site development tasks in a Defence environment
• Operate machinery and plant safely and efficiently as part of a coordinated crew
• Drive a roller and heavy rigid vehicle
• Work with site supervisors to deliver high-quality, compliant projects
• Follow strict safety standards on Defence sites and show professionalism and cultural respect

Required profile

• Civil construction experience in earthworks, drainage, roadworks or general infrastructure
• Heavy Rigid (HR) licence mandatory
• Roller ticket mandatory; watercart ticket preferred
