Site Supervisor - Warehouse Automation Projects

About the role

Dematic, a global leader in intelligent logistics solutions for warehouses, distribution centres and production facilities, is looking for an experienced Site Supervisor to join its Project Delivery team in Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane. The role covers large-scale warehouse automation projects across Australia and New Zealand. It is an 18-month full-time fixed-term contract (with the possibility of extension) focused on coordinating installation, commissioning and engineering activities so that projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review drawings and plans for mechanical and electrical installations
• Liaise with clients, direct builders and sub-contractors
• Promote innovation, improvement, risk identification and safety management, covering occupational health, safety and the environment
• Obtain materials and resources
• Organise and supervise inspection and maintenance of installed equipment
• Manage sub-contractors day to day and coordinate regular inspections for quality assurance
• Implement commissioning and ensure safe installation procedures

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience as a Site Supervisor/Manager installing large capital projects
• Mechanical and/or electrical trade background
• Thorough knowledge of WHSE requirements
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings
• Availability to travel and work interstate and overseas in the APAC region when required

Required skills

• Technical knowledge of material handling equipment (an advantage)
• Strong and clear communication skills and proven team leadership
• Strong computer skills in MS Office products
