Site Supervisor - Civil Utilities

About the role

McMahon Services is delivering major civil works as part of one of South Australia's most significant infrastructure projects and is looking for an experienced Site Supervisor to join its Civil & Infrastructure team. The role reports to the Site Manager and oversees day-to-day civil construction activities, coordinating crews, subcontractors, plant and project interfaces. Civil utilities experience is highly regarded but not essential.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day civil construction activities and work fronts.
• Coordinate crews, subcontractors, plant, equipment and site activities.
• Support the delivery of water, sewer, drainage and underground services works.
• Plan upcoming activities with the Site Manager and project team.
• Monitor progress, productivity, quality and short-term programme requirements.
• Lead pre-starts, toolbox meetings and site safety activities.
• Drive WHS, environmental and quality requirements across work areas.
• Maintain accurate site diaries, reporting and project records.
• Review and support SWMS, risk assessments and site controls.
• Coordinate activities around live services, public interfaces and other project constraints.
• Identify and escalate delays, variations, risks and potential EOTs.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Site Supervisor, Civil Supervisor, Foreman or similar construction leadership role.
• Strong experience in civil construction or infrastructure projects.
• Ability to coordinate crews, subcontractors, plant and site activities.
• Good practical understanding of civil construction methods and sequencing.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications and project documentation.
• Current driver's licence and Construction White Card.
• Ability to meet project and site access requirements.
