Site Supervisor (Carpentry Tools)

About the role

Ascot Group is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to join its team in Adelaide, South Australia. You will oversee the day-to-day operations of construction projects, ensuring they are completed efficiently, safely and to the highest quality standards, while also working on the tools. This is a full-time position based in Adelaide and its surrounds.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the work of construction teams, including tradespeople and labourers
• Oversee the proper use of tools, equipment and materials
• Monitor progress and adjust work schedules and plans as needed
• Perform hands-on carpentry and provide hands-on support and guidance to the team
• Liaise with project managers, clients, subcontractors and other stakeholders to resolve issues
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations
• Maintain detailed project records and documentation

Required profile

• Extensive experience (5+ years) as a Site Supervisor in the construction industry
• Minimum Cert III in Carpentry or equivalent
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials and equipment, especially in commercial environments
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, blueprints and specifications
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to safety and quality standards; able to work independently and as part of a team
