Senior Project Manager - PCEP

About the role

The Senior Project Manager reports to the PCEP Precinct Package Manager and leads the delivery of major infrastructure projects and project packages within the Port Capacity Enhancement Program. It is a highly autonomous leadership role covering planning, procurement, commercial management, construction delivery and project governance, with mentoring of project managers and engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead major maritime, civil and multidisciplinary infrastructure projects from inception to completion, safely, on time and within budget.
• Manage project delivery including planning, procurement, commercial negotiations, contract administration, stakeholder engagement, governance, approvals and construction oversight.
• Build relationships with contractors, consultants, government agencies and key stakeholders to manage risks and resolve complex issues.
• Provide leadership, coaching and support to project managers and engineers, fostering accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline, with extensive experience leading major infrastructure projects in maritime, transport, utilities or similar complex environments.
• Proven track record of delivering major projects with accountability for scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk and safety.
• Experience working with contractors, consultants, government agencies and senior stakeholders.
• Commitment to safety leadership and delivering infrastructure that creates long-term value for Victoria.
