Site Manager – Government Building Project (FIFO)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead the delivery of a $50 million government building project in a remote area of the Northern Territory. The role operates on a 3‑weeks‑on / 1‑week‑off FIFO roster based out of Darwin and reports directly to the Project Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Review project plans and specifications, identifying design issues, cost‑saving opportunities and potential construction challenges.
• Develop daily and fortnightly programmes and monitor progress against the construction schedule.
• Supervise on‑site activities, coordinating trades and subcontractors to ensure safe, high‑quality work.
• Manage subcontractor scope, performance and compliance with company standards.
• Report progress, risks and schedule updates to the Project Manager.

Required profile

• Significant experience as a Site Manager or Site Supervisor on commercial or government construction projects in Australia.
• Trade qualification or background in construction.
• Proven ability to interpret drawings and specifications.
• Strong experience in subcontractor management and team leadership.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
• Familiarity with Procore (desirable).
