Site Manager - Construction

About the role

Hutchies is looking for a skilled and experienced Site Manager to join its Rockhampton team on a full-time, permanent basis, overseeing an exciting new project. The role reports to the Team Leader and sits in a supportive, collaborative environment with exposure to many different projects.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate trades, subcontractors, suppliers, materials and equipment according to project plans, specifications, finishes and construction programs
• Manage day-to-day site operations so projects are delivered safely, on schedule and to the required quality standards
• Monitor labour resources and productivity to keep to program objectives and milestones
• Lead a strong safety culture by managing all Work Health and Safety (WHS) requirements
• Manage site staff, subcontractors and trade suppliers, and liaise with clients, consultants, designers, certifiers and regulators
• Resolve construction issues proactively and facilitate collaboration among all stakeholders
• Inspect sites and ensure compliance with legislation, standards and company procedures

Required profile

• Qualifications in Construction Management, Building, Engineering or a related discipline
• 4 to 7 years' experience as a Site Manager or similar in the construction industry
• Strong attention to detail, organisation, written and verbal communication, and analytical and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of market conditions, construction techniques and industry standards
• Team player with initiative, strong stakeholder relationships and a friendly, professional approach
