Site Foreman

About the role

Hutchies is looking for a motivated and skilled Site Foreman to join its Rockhampton office on a full-time permanent basis. The role reports to the Site Manager and the Project Team, working closely with them to deliver projects within agreed scope, timelines and financial targets. The work environment is described as supportive, collaborative and down to earth.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and manage day-to-day operations, including subcontractors, labourers and materials
• Ensure projects are planned and delivered according to agreed scope, timelines and financial targets
• Attend project sites and take part in site meetings as needed
• Make sure construction follows design plans and quality standards
• Forecast and plan activities, materials and resources, and monitor variations across the project lifecycle
• Track project progress and plan daily workflows to meet specifications and deadlines
• Lead by example, show accountability and inspire project teams
• Ensure all health and safety requirements are met

Required profile

• 3 to 5 years' experience in a similar role
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Professional written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong knowledge of market conditions, construction techniques and industry standards
• Ability to work in a team and take initiative independently
• Strong relationship building with stakeholders
• A friendly, professional approach to work
• Carpentry background highly regarded
