Site Manager – Commercial Construction & Fit‑Outs

About the role

We are seeking an experienced, hands‑on Site Manager to oversee commercial construction and specialist fit‑out projects across South East Queensland. You will be responsible for day‑to‑day site operations, ensuring safety, quality and programme delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate daily site operations, ensuring work progresses safely and efficiently.
• Coordinate subcontractors, trades and site personnel, handling scheduling and performance management.
• Drive a strong safety culture through toolbox talks, inductions, inspections and audits.
• Liaise with Project Managers, clients, consultants and authorities.
• Monitor quality control, compliance with building codes, Australian Standards and project requirements.
• Maintain site programmes, track milestones and resolve issues proactively.
• Maintain accurate site documentation, including diaries, inspection records and incident reports.
• Coordinate material procurement to keep projects on schedule.
• Manage additional compliance, infection control and handover requirements for healthcare environments when required.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Site Manager, Site Supervisor or Foreman on commercial construction or fit‑out projects.
• Experience with healthcare, medical or hospital projects is highly regarded.
• Strong understanding of WHS legislation and site safety management.
• Relevant trade qualification and/or Diploma in Building and Construction.
• Current White Card, site safety qualifications and a valid driver’s licence.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
