Senior Project Manager - Energy

About the role

GHD is looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join its national Delivery Phase Services (DPS) Energy business, based in either the Melbourne or Brisbane office. The role leads the delivery of major energy projects, working closely with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary teams to turn opportunities into successful projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead major energy projects through execution across wind, solar, battery energy storage systems and power generation.
• Work directly with developers, owners and delivery partners on complex projects across Australia.
• Build and lead multidisciplinary project teams, aligned around clear project outcomes.
• Manage safety, scope, programme, cost, quality, commercial performance and risk.
• Work closely with site-based teams, contractors, original equipment manufacturers and delivery partners.
• Lead proposals, budgets and delivery programmes for execution-phase work.
• Mentor team members and help build a practical, collaborative, high-performing culture.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or another relevant discipline.
• Significant experience leading energy, power generation or major infrastructure projects through development and execution.
• Experience working with owners, developers, EPC or D&C contractors, OEMs or engineering consultants.
• Construction management or site delivery experience highly regarded.

Required skills

• Project management fundamentals across safety, scope, programme, cost, quality and risk.
• Confidence leading multidisciplinary teams and managing complex technical and commercial interfaces.
• Strong commercial judgement and proposal, budget and schedule development.
