Site Engineer

About the role

ACCIONA is seeking a motivated Site Engineer to join the Western Harbour Tunnel – Stage 2 project in Sydney. The role involves supporting the delivery of a major underground infrastructure programme while upholding safety, quality and sustainability standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and manage safety, construction and quality documentation such as SWMS, ITPs, procedures and permits.
• Administer contract works to ensure compliance with safety, environmental and quality standards.
• Manage permits and approvals, aligning daily site activities with design specifications.
• Support planning, execution and handover of project deliverables within time, cost and quality targets.
• Assist with procurement, purchase orders and material traceability.
• Track costs, monitor productivity and produce accurate daily, weekly and monthly reports.
• Contribute to look‑ahead planning, scheduling and coordination with supervisors and project teams.
• Undertake audits, maintain registers and ensure Quality Management System compliance.

Required profile

• Prior experience in a similar site engineering role on major Sydney road or tunnel projects.
• Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering.
• Proven experience in excavation or underground construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety standards and quality management systems.
• Excellent communication and liaison skills with clients, supervisors and project teams.
