Shift Fuel Reception Operator

About the role

The Shift Fuel Reception Operator will work on a 24‑hour rotating shift at the Kwinana Energy Recovery facility, Australia’s first waste‑to‑energy plant. You will support material handling, traffic control and plant performance while ensuring strict health, safety and environmental compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out routine tasks and testing of plant equipment.
• Maintain and update the shift log, ensuring clear hand‑over to the next crew.
• Report defects in the CMMS and follow through to timely resolution.
• Complete planned preventive maintenance (PPM) as required.
• Assist the Shift Team Leader with materials management systems and processes.
• Collaborate with day‑time Fuel Reception Operators and the Tipping Hall Supervisor to ensure seamless workflow.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of industrial work experience.
• At least 2 years operating heavy machinery and moving plant.
• Experience working within large, diverse O&M teams.
• Previous exposure to renewable energy or waste‑management projects is highly desirable.
• Valid full driving licence.

Required skills

• Proficiency with a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
