Services Manager

About the role

BESIX Watpac is seeking an experienced Services Manager to join the Queensland construction team on the expansion of a major correctional facility in Wacol. You will lead the design and delivery of building services across mechanical, electrical, security, ICT and hydraulic disciplines.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the design of building services documentation packages, including mechanical, electrical, security, ICT and hydraulic systems.
• Work closely with the Project Manager to ensure documentation meets specifications, cost budgets and programme requirements.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities, assist with product selection and problem‑solve to achieve best value.
• Monitor production of workshop drawings and as‑built documents, and oversee installation and commissioning quality.
• Participate in final handover, delivering final documentation, authority approvals, warranties and training.

Required profile

• Qualifications in a relevant engineering or trade discipline (electrical engineering or trade preferred).
• Proven experience on large‑scale projects managing complex building services packages and integrated systems.
• Strong knowledge of statutory legislation and relevant Australian Standards.
• Effective leadership with the ability to develop relationships with team members, consultants and subcontractors.
