Service Technician - Victoria

About the role

Fisher & Paykel, a New Zealand appliance brand with a global footprint, is looking for a Service Technician to join its team in Victoria. The role suits someone who enjoys hands-on problem solving, learning new skills and delivering exceptional customer experiences. You will receive comprehensive training across the premium appliance range and work alongside experienced technicians.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver in-home service experiences, representing the brand professionally and with a customer-first mindset.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair and test premium appliances, assessing performance and communicating clear recommendations to customers.
• Maintain and manage van stock of spare parts to improve first-time fix rates.
• Complete service documentation, quotations, customer records and reports accurately and on time.
• Adhere to company policies, safety standards and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Previous experience in appliance repair, fault-finding and troubleshooting, ideally in domestic appliances, whiteware, electronics or a related trade.
• Current driver's licence and ability to travel to customer locations.
• Experience servicing premium appliances or Fisher & Paykel products is highly regarded.
• Qualification in electrical, electronics, appliance service, refrigeration or a related trade; licensed electrical service technician experience highly regarded.

Required skills

• Reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams and service documentation.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Written communication skills and confidence with digital service systems, Microsoft Office and mobile technology.
• Attention to detail, organisational skills and ability to work autonomously.
