Service Technician – Mining Equipment

About the role

Join Sandvik's Virginia branch in Queensland as a Service Technician, providing diagnostics, maintenance and repairs for cutting‑edge mobile mining equipment. You will ensure equipment reliability and support customers to achieve their operational goals.

Key responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, maintenance, fault finding, repairs and machine overhauls on Sandvik mining equipment.
• Execute mechanical maintenance tasks according to plans, keeping equipment safe and operational.
• Provide feedback to improve maintenance planning and keep detailed records of parts, equipment monitoring and time logs.
• Champion safety by adhering to all Environmental Health and Safety policies.

Required profile

• Australian recognised Mechanical Trade Certification and Brisbane residency.
• Experience with underground loaders preferred; experience on drill equipment highly regarded.
• Strong safety culture, excellent communication, customer‑service focus and proactive attitude.
• Basic computer literacy and a Class C manual driver’s licence.

Required skills

• Mechanical diagnostics and fault finding.
• Mechanical maintenance and machine overhauls.
• Repair of mining and construction mobile equipment.
• Use of basic computer applications for record keeping.
