Service Technician – Heavy Equipment

About the role

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain and repair heavy equipment to maximise performance and minimise downtime.
• Deliver workmanship that meets safety and manufacturer standards.
• Use onboard monitoring systems for machine diagnostics and fault‑finding.
• Build strong relationships with customers through clear communication and coordination with the Mackay Branch team.
• Complete accurate service reports, timesheets and job documentation.
• Support the wider service team and branch operations as needed.
• Contribute to a safe and positive work environment.

Required profile

• Trade qualification as a Diesel Fitter or equivalent.
• Strong commitment to safety and safe work practices.
• Proven diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
• Excellent communication skills and customer focus.
• Current and valid driver’s licence.
• Previous experience with Komatsu or similar heavy equipment (highly regarded).
