Service Technician for Mining Equipment

About the role

Sandvik Mining is seeking a qualified Service Technician to join its Mount Isa branch. You will be responsible for diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on cutting‑edge mobile equipment used in mining and construction, ensuring customers’ operations run smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Perform mechanical maintenance, repairs, and fault diagnosis on all Sandvik Mining equipment, including underground load & haul and drills.
• Execute maintenance tasks according to plans, keep detailed records of parts usage, equipment monitoring, and time logs.
• Provide feedback to improve maintenance planning and champion safety by adhering to EHS policies.

Required profile

• Australian‑recognized Mechanical Trade Certification and local residency in Mount Isa.
• Experience with trucks, loaders, and drilling mobile mining equipment.
• Strong safety culture, excellent communication, customer‑service focus, and a proactive attitude.
• Basic computer literacy and a Class C Manual Driver’s License.
