Service Manager - Outside School Hours Care (Fun Squad), Malanda

About the role

PCYC Queensland is looking for a Service Manager to lead its Fun Squad, an Outside School Hours Care service at Malanda State School. You will take ownership of the service's success, balancing quality outcomes for children with operational performance, compliance and financial sustainability, working closely with families, educators, schools and community partners. The advertised rate is $42.07-$52.69 per hour plus superannuation and salary packaging options, depending on qualifications and experience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operation of the service, ensuring a safe, engaging and high-quality experience for children.
• Manage service performance, including enrolments, attendance, budgeting and financial sustainability.
• Build relationships with families, schools and community stakeholders to support growth and engagement.
• Develop and support a high-performing team through coaching, leadership, performance management and professional development.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, the National Quality Framework and PCYC policies and procedures.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen service quality, child outcomes and operational effectiveness.

Required profile

• Diploma in Childhood Studies (or equivalent), or Certificate III in Childhood Studies with evidence of progress toward a Diploma.
• Demonstrated experience leading and managing an OSHC service and team.
• Knowledge of legislation and regulatory requirements for OSHC services.
• Nice to have: experience managing budgets, enrolments and financial performance; experience partnering with schools and community stakeholders; C class driver licence and ability to obtain a Restricted Driving Authorisation.

Required skills

• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certifications.
• Current Queensland Working with Children Check (Blue Card) or ability to obtain one before starting.
• Ability to complete a National Police Check.
