Service Manager - Medical Equipment (Hands-On)

About the role

Talent Aligned is recruiting, on behalf of an established Australian-owned specialist in healthcare technology, a Service Manager based in Adelaide. The role suits an experienced technical specialist who wants to lead a small team, shape processes and stay hands-on with advanced medical technology. It combines electromechanical servicing with team leadership, compliance building and operational oversight.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a small technical team, setting accountability, training pathways and performance standards.
• Build operational structures, service workflows and compliance frameworks to raise service delivery standards.
• Stay hands-on with advanced diagnostics, repairs, calibration and installation of ultrasonic cleaning systems and medical equipment.
• Document technical fixes, equipment performance insights and validation protocols for the R&D and engineering teams.
• Oversee service scheduling and logistics, including occasional interstate travel (about every couple of months) and monthly state-wide travel.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Mechatronics, Electronics or Mechanical Engineering.
• Proven experience leading, training or supervising a small technical team, with a focus on process improvement and accountability.
• Deep practical experience in electronics troubleshooting, equipment repair and mechanical fault-finding in a regulated environment.
• Ability to build compliance structures, documentation protocols and operational workflows from the ground up.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a proactive approach to balancing leadership with hands-on technical work.

What we offer

• Base salary of $110,000 - $120,000 plus superannuation.
