Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - AW139 / Bell 429

About the role

Toll Aviation, part of the Toll Group, is expanding its engineering team in South Australia and is looking for skilled AW139 and Bell 429 Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineers. As part of the maintenance team, you will ensure safe, efficient and compliant maintenance on the AW139 and Bell 429 fleet.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and prepare maintenance tasks, making sure parts, ground support equipment, tooling, manpower and documentation are ready.
• Perform scheduled maintenance on assigned aircraft to maximise availability.
• Coordinate, supervise and carry out troubleshooting and rectification for unscheduled maintenance.
• Support aircraft ranging, husbandry and recovery activities.
• Prepare fly-away kits and conduct maintenance during deployments.
• Maintain a safe workspace and follow safe work practices.

Required profile

• Completed mechanical/avionics trade qualifications.
• CASA Part 66 B1.3 / B2 licence with an AW139 and/or Bell 429 type rating.
• MEA40715 (Certificate IV in Aeroskills - Mechanical) or MEA40618 (Certificate IV in Aeroskills - Avionics) or equivalent.
• Strong experience on AW139, Bell 429 or other medium helicopters.
• High level of trade aptitude.
• Entitlement to work in Australia and willingness to undergo pre-employment checks, including a criminal history check and medical.
• Desirable: extensive industry experience, general aircraft maintenance practice, strong understanding of Civil Aviation Regulations, self-motivation, flexibility, willingness to support all aspects of base engineering and MEA41322 (Certificate IV in Aeroskills - Structures).
